Ghana Police Confirm Arrest of Key Suspects in Kwabenya Jailbreak The Ghana Police in a statement, confirmed the arrest of five persons involved in the Kwabenya jailbreak last Sunday, January 21, 2018. The suspects; Kofi Seshie aged 28, Sarba George aged 23, George Asante aged 33, Theophilus Banda aged 25 and Elvis Owusu aged 31. The statement which was signed by the Director-General of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service, ACP David Eklu said Kofi Sheshie is believed to have shot and killed the police inspector on duty, Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi. The inspector was on monitoring assignment during the attack on January 21. According to the statement which was tweeted, all five suspects were arrested by the Accra Police Command in Kasoa in the Central region. The statement further said six persons were arrested earlier bringing the number of arrest to 11, three of whom are re-arrested fugitives and three accomplices who facilitated the attack and escape.
