Piloting of national digital broadcasting to commence in April 2018

Deputy Minister of Communications, George Andah, has given the assurance that piloting of national digital broadcasting will begin by April.  

Speaking at a Public Lecture on Digital Revolution organised by IMANI-Ghana, Mr. Andah, said 42 transmitters have already been mounted at various parts of the country, to kick start the digital broadcasting on a large scale.  

According to him, residents in Accra and Akosombo are already receiving digital signals. 

A Fellow of IMANI-Ghana, Franklin Asante who delivered the lecture underscored the importance of digitisation.  

He however called on State agencies to put in place, adequate measures to protect citizens against threats associated with digitisation.
