The Daily Graphic calls for vigourous measures to ensure a reliable rail sector in the country. The paper believes this will not only create jobs for Ghanaians but also reduce the pressure on our roads for the benefit the nations. The Graphic says the decision of Ghana and Burkina Faso to reactivate railway interconnectivity project is welcoming. The paper notes that any efforts by investors to help build a reliable rail sector must be pursued with the seriousness that it requires to bring back a robust rail sector in the country. 

The Daily Heritage reiterates the need to stop every activity that pollutes river bodies in the country. The paper says bad environmental activities have led to pollution of rivers such as Pra, Offin, and Densu as individuals dump refuse in these rivers at the blind eye of law enforcing authorities. The Heritage therefore calls on the law enforcers to crack the whip on recalcitrant Ghanaians who pollute water bodies to serve the country from importing water in future which will cause the nation.

The Ghanaian Times laments the ugly side of peacekeeping where Ghanaian peacekeepers were allegedly engaged in sex scandals in South Sudan. The paper says it is disappointed that Ghana should build a reputation to a very high level, only for it to be crumbled down in such unenviable manner. It however supports the police service in requesting the UN to allow a three member team to probe the matter further. The Times still expresses confidence in the integrity of the Ghana Police Service, despite the allegations.
