Aspiring NPP Organizer lauds conduct of party’s constituency elections An Aspiring Upper East Regional Organizer of the NPP, Charles Taleog Ndanbon has commended the conduct and outcome of the just ended constituency elections held over the weekend. Speaking to Radio Ghana in Bolgatanga, Mr. Ndandon who is tipped for the top position congratulated all the newly-elected constituency officers for giving their opponents a good run for their money. He observed that the level of maturity exhibited by the contestants laced with the peaceful and transparent manner at which the elections were conducted goes to affirm the party’s strong democratic principles. He seized the platform to commend delegates and contestants for the unity of purpose, which he noted, will go a long way to cement the existing bond of togetherness in the party. He as well showed gratitude to the rank and file of the party for playing their respective roles in making the election a success. This, Mr. Ndanbon further observed demonstrates the tenets of their forbearers who had fought tooth and nail to make the party what it is today. He moreover, urged those vying for regional positions in the upcoming regional executive elections to exercise their campaign with decorum and also shun from all divisive tendencies. Mr. Ndanbon said though he acknowledge the fact that such elections are competitive in nature, contestants have the constitutional obligation to respective each other’s view and not resort in retaliatory acts. He disclosed plans to tour the various constituencies to congratulate all delegates and party members for their contribution leading to the smooth conduct of the exercise. Whilst commending the party’s electoral body for its show of professionalism, Mr. Ndanbon appealed to those that lost the elections to rally behind the winners in promoting the cause and ideals of the party towards maintaining power in 2020. Mr Charles Ndanbon is due to officially launch his campaign next month with the sole aim of working with all party members to claim more parliamentary seats for the NPP come general elections. The constituency elections were held to elect constituency executives for the 275 constituencies across the nation. Positions contested for included Chairperson, 1st Vice Chairperson, 2nd Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Organizer, Youth Organizer, Women Organizer and Nasara Coordinator.
