Tax and Good Governance Week launched in Accra

The Tax and Good Governance Week has been launched in Accra with a call on the Ghana Revenue Authority to develop a mobile app to enable tax payers to file their tax returns from the comfort of their homes without any stress.

Vice President Bawumia who made the call reiterated the importance of taxes in the development of every economy.
 
He said the filing of tax returns, apart from being a civic responsibility, is also needed to meet the socio-cconomic needs of the country especially as government strives to move Ghana Beyond Aid.

After filing his tax returns, Vice President Bawumia appealed to the public to honour their tax obligations by the end of April to avoid penalties.
