President Akufo-Addo appoints CEOs & Dep CEOs of Development Authorities

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Chief Executive Officers and their deputies to serve at the three newly created Development Authorities that were signed into law this year.

These three Development Authorities, the Coastal, Middle Belt and Northern Development Authorities, have been tasked with the implementation of the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP). 

Heading the Coastal Development Authority as CEO is the Managing Director of Citi FM  Samuel Attah-Mensah. 

He will be assisted by Jerry Ahmed Shaib, Bob-Charles Agbontor, Mona Gertrude Effah Deputy and Emmanuel Affram Anim. Joe Danquah Chief.

An administrator Joe Danquah, will be heading the Middle Belt Development Authority.  

He also will be assisted  by Joyce Opoku-Boateng,  Vincent Frimpong Manu and  
Alexander Ferka.  

Whilst Alhaji Abdel-Majeed Haroun, an Agricultural Economist, will head the Northern Development Authority. 

Lariba Zuweira Abudu, Osmani Aludiba Ayuba, and Stephen Yir-Eru Engmen will deputise. A statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency Eugene and copied to GBCONLINE, said: “The appointees are to act pending the receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing Boards of the Development Authorities, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission. 

The IPEP programme will oversee the disbursement of the equivalent of $1 million per constituency per year, in fulfillment of one of the New Patriotic Party’s major promises. 

The project is also expected to have a direct link with government’s one district one factory project, which is estimated to cost GH¢456.3 million and create about 350,000 jobs.
