GES directs all retired staff to vacate their post The Ghana Education Service (GES), has directed all teachers and heads of SHS who were due for retirement since last year but still remain in post despite being notified by the appropriate quaters to exit their post with immediate effect. According to a release signed by the Director General of GES, such persons have defiled the rules of the service and this will not be tolerated. In a response to this directive, the General Secretary of GNAT, David Ofori Acheampong said he does not believe the claims by the GES since the Controller and Accountants General's Department will notify persons due for retirement six months ahead of time. NAGRAT also refuted the GES claims. President of the Association, Angel Karbonu said if indeed the matter is true, the blame must be put at the doorstep of the Controller and Accountants General's Department. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
