The management of a clinic at Seekwa in the Tain District of Brong Ahafo says the 78% score by the facility in a peer review among other health centres in the district is a clear demonstration of its determination to meet the healthcare delivery in the community. 

Statistics on health indicators for 2017 show an appreciable level of improvement for instance in the area of primary healthcare which is the core function of the facility.

The Medical Officer at the Facility, Sebastian Vog-Enga who made this known at a health review meeting at Nsawkaw, the District capital, indicated that the clinic has established a functional Psychiatric unit at the facility. 

Three outreach centres have also been created to facilitate delivery of services. Family planning attendance increased by 64% from the previous year record of 57%. 

He however expressed concern about the deteriorating infrastructure including a leaking roofing and lack of an ambulance. 

Meanwhile, the chiefs and people of Atomfourso near Seekwa have appealed to the Tain District Assembly to fast track the completion of the CHPS Compound which is about 60% complete. 

A statement issued and signed by the Chief of the town, Nana Agyei, said the people are worried about the delay of the project which was scheduled to be finished in three months.

The statement asked the Tain District Assembly to find money to complete the project in order for the facility to be a beneficiary of the impending distribution of medical materials by the Ghana Health Service.
